God’s perfect timing means I can depend on Him when I am overwhelmed/underwhelmed by my circumstances. Whatever the day may bring I desperately want to remember that “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
For the most part my current season is filled with more questions than answers. Like, I need to find extra work, I’m lonely, the list goes on and on. Instead of freaking out, God reminded me that He knew of this season in my life before the earth was created — and He is leading my way. This day, although dull and depressing, has His fingerprints all over it.
When I think about this season in life, and how God is leading me on this path, in fact the Bible says He is the light unto our paths. And I have this visual of God being the traffic control tower at an airport – illuminating the best route with hundreds of lights – and I’m the airplane, flying through thick fog but able to make out the dotted colors on the runway and I land safely.
Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
